Pr. Leonardo MARINI
Professor Leonardo Marini is a Dermatologic Surgeon specialized in Dermatology and General Surgery. He currently serves as Medical and Scientific Director of The Skin Doctors’ Center of Trieste, one of the most advanced, Dermatosurgical Clinics in northern Italy where he performs Mohs surgery, laser dermatology, general and aesthetic dermatologic surgery.
Professor Marini participated to the foundation of The European Society for Micrographic Surgery (ESMS) in Portugal on April 6-7, 1990. He is currently Honorary Member and serves as Advisor to the Board of the Society. He also founded the European Society for Laser Dermatology (ESLD) in 1996 in Trieste (I) and served as its President for the initial years of its activity. He is currently Honorary Member of the Society. Co-Founder and Past president of the European Society for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology (ESCAD), he presently serves as Treasurer.
As Former Chairman of the EADV Task Force for Laser and EBD, he is also actively involved in the Fostering Dermatology teaching program of the EADV and organizes courses of Laser Dermatology, Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Photodynamic Therapy. He is also serving as KOL for Fotona Lasers and actively cooperating with DEKA Lasers. He regularly host visiting physicians from all over the world willing to learn more about Laser Dermatology. Presently he is also Honorary President of the Hellenic Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Professor Marini has published numerous scientific peer-reviewed papers in international medical journals as well as numerous book chapters. He also act as reviewer of many prestigious Dermatological and Laser Journals. He gave more than 900 clinical presentations at international congresses and scientific meetings.
