1ST ESLD COMPETITION - Best Student Clinical Case Report
All ESLD student members are invited to submit their cases on
- successful or unsuccessful treatment of a case with lasers or EBDs
- complications of a laser or EBDs treatment and its management
A short abstract (120 words in .doc format) should be sent by Thursday 8th April to ESLD secretariat theoffice@esld.eu
The abstract should contain all details of the case with the treatment conducted stating the parameters and any adjuvant treatment used.
Clear high quality photos of the cases before and after the treatment should be included in the abstract.
WARNING: The presenter is responsible for obtaining the required consent from the patient if patient photographs are shown.
A panel of experts will select the 3 Best Clinical Case reports.
The winners will be asked to give a 5 minutes presentation of their case during the webinar scheduled on Thurdsay, 22nd April 2021, open to all ESLD Members.

Advanced Virtual ESLD Teaching Course – LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Teaching courses are an exclusive way to offer in-depth teaching to all members.
The next Virtual Advanced ESLD Teaching Course will be organized from 17 to 21 May 2021 and will represent the opportunity to deepen the topic LASER HAIR REMOVAL.
The faculty consists of international experts in the field from both private practice and university centres. The course will cover the broad spectrum of topic, challenging and unusual clinical settings, indications, side effects and their management, rare indications, etc. The expert level will open to beginners in-depth discussion of different lasers and light sources.
A moderator will stimulate and lead the discussions after each presentation.

Dieter Manstein, has pioneered the development of Fractional Lasers at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine.
The concept of Fractional Laser therapy has permanently changed the field of laser therapy. With more than hundred different devices today, it has emerged as a mainstream treatment for skin rejuvenation. Beyond cosmetic indications, various skin disorders have been reported to improve by fractional laser therapy. And, don’t forget about fractional laser assisted drug delivery.
ESLD is happy to discuss the applications and the past and future of fractional photothermolysis in dermatology.
